I came across this article on Facebook Gina had posted it Vaccine Reverses Type 1 Diabetes in Mice and I just wanted to share it!
Could you even imagine if there was a CURE found? After reading this article I just could not stop thinking what a cure would mean for us, how that would change our and Cara's lives.
As a parent of a child with type 1 diabetes you always hope, you always wish, you always think about the cure being found and that is why our walks and trying to raise money for the research is so important to so many of us. However when you are dealing with this disease on a day to day bases the idea of that cure just seems so far away. Then you read an article like this and you see that there are actual people that are looking, searching, trying to find that cure that will change your child's life.
THANK YOU to all researchers keep up the great work, and of course THANK YOU to everyone that donate your hard eared money to help find that cure :)

In the year and a half since Jacob's diagnosis I had hardly ever actually thought of a cure. I mean - we have done fund raising stuff and we have explained to people who are not familiar with T1D why a cure is so hard to achieve... but I have stopped just short of thinking about Jacob actually BEING cured. I read that artical for the first time last week or the week before and it blew my mind. Since then a cure has been on my mind a lot. Thank you for sharing this... I am right there with you! =)
