A Thank You, My Design and 2 Days In 1 Week... What A Dummy Mommy.

Thanks so much to everyone for the comments and input to help in our decision making process about finding "THE ONE".  I'm very much looking forward to starting the pump...for Cara of course, she is the T1!

Phone calls and appointments are being made as we speak.

The one main theme that my husband and I took from everyone's input is that NO MATTER what pump we choose, for whatever reason we choose it, we will love it!! and I think that speaks volumes to all the pump companies out there.  They seem to be listening to what we all want in a pump.  Taking what works and what does not and designing an amazing product that allows our T1 kids and adults to have a healthier, more free way of life with type1.

Now we just need to figure out what feature is the most important to us...a tubeless pod or remote plus manually controls for the pump or a built in CGM with the pump.  It's a hard call!

OR maybe a pump manufacturer company will be reading this post (wishful thinking) and develop the very first and smallest tubeless, wireless + manually feature control with a built-in CGM pump (taking the best of all 3)...ANYONE?!?! You can call it the Cara Lot model.  With the tag line "offering everything you want in a pump because we CARE...NICE!  Production to start shortly :)

OK now a change of subject and totally not T1 related. I'm losing my mind:

This week as been an incredibly embarrassing week.  We started the week off just fine, by Wednesday I was a little behind the 8 ball (whatever the hell that means) Kylie and Connor both needed ice skates for school that day and of course in pure Nicole style I did not pack their skates until that morning.  Kylie ended up going to school with 2 left skates.  I got a phone call from the school at 10:00am telling me.  Crap!! and I had no way of getting to the ice park to give her the "right" skate.  Poor Kylie!!  In my defense those damn skates were sitting side by side as a PAIR of skates would sit.  I looked to make sure they were the correct size and in the bag they went.  I did not think to look to make sure they were not the same foot...I guess we have more skates then I thought.   So I looked like a totally disorganized mess, I talk to the secretary a few times that day and kinda laughed it off and moved on.

So this morning I misplaced Cara's March school calender.  Her calender is essential to have because she only goes to school Mondays, Wednesdays and every other Friday.  Hello I can't keep my days in order let alone remember if Cara was in school LAST Friday and it is clearly marked on the calender what Friday she attends school.

So of course this Friday morning I can not find that damn calender anywhere, so I called my mother because my nephew is on the same schedule as Cara, that is until today....I guess!!  My nephew was a go for school SOOOOO that meant that Cara was a go to RIGHT?!?!

Well NO, we get her ready, pack her up, put her on the bus, get a phone call at 9:00am

"Hello Cara's mom"
"Yes"
"We have Cara in the office and it is not her day for school"
"OHHHH"
and I just started laughing!! what else was I suppose to do?
I told her the story of why I thought she was "on" today and she informed me that there was a calender on-line...Well thanks, I will use that next time this sleep deprived mother of 6 goes crazy, loses her mind and makes a complete fool of herself twice in one week.

I'm sure the teachers are having a wonderful laugh on my behave today!!

So I called my mother back and we just killed ourselves laughing!!  What a dummy mommy...I still can not believe I did that!!

Awesome about the skates...my mom sent me to practice once with one patch skate and one freestyle skate, thanks Ma! But again, nobody was hurt so laughter is the best medicine, right?!
Hope your weekend is filled with rest and relaxation.

Me too! I want that pump! I don't understand why there's not one out there that comes with all those features. Can you imagine if there were? It'd blow the competition away. Everyone would buy it!

Your mommy stories made me laugh...but I'm not laughing at you. I'm laughing with you! G-d knows I've made mistakes like that too! :)
