What Goes Up Must Come Down...don't let me fall

A very quick update about Cara's and "L's" first day flying solo...they did wonderfully!!  L called me at snack time and asked a few questions which I loved by the way, the phone was in my hand with the always constant internal conversation in my head... should I call now, no I'll wait or maybe I'll just call, I'm sure everything is just fine, if it was not they would have called, O.K. I'm calling and then the phone rang.  Crazy... I know but oh, so normal, because I know YOU ALL DO IT TOO :)

So today is day 2 of solo flying and I'm feeling much better about it, Cara is 5 and has been living with t1 for 2 years now, she knows how to test and I think most of the rules.  Although I'm sure if someone was not there to enforce them she may just not follow some of them, she is only 5 after all.  She was quite high yesterday, so I'm hoping that I was able to get her on a close and tight enough schedule that her numbers will be just perfect...fingers crossed.  Praying to the diabetes gods today for good numbers and a wonderful day for all my girls at camp.

Very, very soon I will be getting the most wonderful, amazing, loving and supporting walk team back together again for our 3rd year for the JDRF walk for a cure.  Our walk date is June 12 and the community kick off is on March 31st.  That means I will be hard at work making our walk video, creating a team t-shirt, handing out our pledge forms and trying to through some fundraisers together.  Time to put the old creative thinking cap on!! I want to make this the best year ever for the We CARA Lot team.

It is just funny when type 1 enters your life it totally and completely takes over every aspect of your life, even songs change and you can find type 1 everywhere...amazing!!

are you grooving to type 1 yet??  What goes up must come down, but don't let me fall...just like blood sugar:) and we were made for this and we can do this! Stay strong and have a wonderful Wednesday BIG HUGS TO ALL TYPE 1'S TYPE 2'S AND TYPE 3'S TODAY.

Love that song...and it is soooo perfect. Are you using it for your Walk Vid?

Glad Cara is enjoying camp Nicole. I am inspired by you. I hope that I can figure out a good camp situation for Joe at his Hockey Camp this summer.

That is the coolest video! They're laying & moving on the floor with the camera on a dolly above them filming it, then they edit it to look that creative!
How responsible for 5! That's great training mama!
(and yes, I keep the phone in my hand too)
