With a ring of the door bell all 6 kids went racing to the door to see what it could be.
A great big brown box with the words Medtronic written across it brought smiles and giggles out of everyone in the house.
Who says you need wrapping paper?
Cara was beaming as I ran for my camera...this was a moment that I wanted on tape.
This is big for all of us especially Cara and something that we have been waiting for, for a very LONG time.
Cara so excited
everyone got in on the fun
and at the bottom of the box...the pump
So happy and hardly able to contain herself she started to open the pump box ANNNND....
It is purple NOT PINK!!
You may think that her reaction is a little ummmm how do you say...spoiled brat-ish but you have to realize she had been asking for this PINK pump for EVER and it was the only thing that she cared about, it HAD to be pink!! Not to mention she does have to wear it 24 hours 7 days a week sooooo she better LOVE IT!!
A quick search for our Medtronic reps number and all is good... a brand new pink VEO is on it's way.

That is NOT a spoiled brattish reaction!!! That is a sweet little girl who deserves what she asked for . . . a pink pump. I want to cry with her!! I know tyeh excitement she must have been feeling to finally get what has been talked about f-o-r-e-v-e-r! I think you should send this video to Medronic's customer service department. I bet they will double check the boxes from here on out!!!
YAY! That picture of her holding up the box is so cute. I completely understand the disappointment. When you're looking forward to something specific, you want it to be JUST the way you imagined it. I will say that I LOVE Medtronic's customer service--they are awesome and fast!
Poor Girl!!!! I'm glad they're fixing the pump for her!
Oh her sweet face! Not spoiled at all! With all they endure they deserve to atleast have a color they want!
Glad they're taking care of it. And btw omg the way she says purple is adorable!!!!
Okay... am I a dork because I started to cry too? Elise's reaction would be exactly the same. Every time we ask her about a pump she says, "Pink. I want a pink pump".
Cara is a sweet little girl who deserves her pretty pink pump. And I'm glad she'll be getting one soon.
That just made me tear up with her! Bless her heart! I am glad you have a pink one on the way!! :) You are totally right, she deserves to LOVE it! :)
I agree...not bratish at all and it made me tear up (with a smile) too. So glad the right one is one its way now. I think you should send the video to Medtronic...esp with the pictures leading up showing how excited she was.
Nope, not spoiled brat...disappointed little girl! I think we all were throwing the fit with her, and rightfully so!
Glad the PINK one is on it's way...you all have waited so long, I can't believe there's more waiting because of a mistake like that!!
Awww...not spoiled bratish at all! My daughter would have done the same thing...think her reaction is quite typical and reasonable! So glad the pink one is on the way and can't wait to hear how all works out!
I hope they are sending it overnight. : ( I know how Cara feels. Mary Claire got another one (replacement) yesterday, and she would've done the SAME thing if it'd been purple!! (Although we did have purple for 4.5 years before they even had pink!!) We lived. BUT we WANTED PINK!!! : ) It is SO expensive, you need to get what you WANT. : ) Praying it comes fast!! I completely understand her sadness. : )
I would have reacted the same way!!! seriously! WE are stuck with these things attached to us 24/7. It sure IS personal! The least we can ask for is a colour preference! Such a let down but Medtronic is great with fixing problems. :)
OMGoodness, she is so cute! AND ABSOLUTELY...she should have pink. Are you kiddin' me. She has been dreaming of this day and it didn't turn out the way she had it planned. That makes even the adults in us a bit ruffled.
Love that a PINK one is in the mail. xo
